CH Newlin Prefect x Norcis Roxanne at Newlin

Our second champion, Opium, was all we wanted in a Beagle.

 We had been very fortunate in being able to acquire Norcis Roxanne at Newlin from Eleanor Bothwell. She had fabulous old breeding behind her and when mated to Prefect gave us our lovely 'Poppy'.

Nowadays her head would seem lacking, but on the move she excelled. All the judges who favoured sound movement loved her.

She won 7 CC's and 5 RCC's, her greatest achievement being BIS at the Beagle Club in 1986 under Kari Jarvinen - we did enjoy the bottle of champagne he donated for BIS, as we had also won the RCC  with our Junior bitch.

She was top bitch 1986 !

When mated to the Haddy's Ch Rivenlea Gangster we retained Nonsense a bright tricolour bitch who was to go on to be a wonderful producer.
